In Average condition for age this is dated 1898 on the receiver. Butt disc reveal that this carbine was issued to the 1st Argyll & Bute Royal Garrison Artillery dated February 1899 with a low rifle rack number of 4. with Enfield stamp on butt plenty of acceptance marks serial number 8071 to barrell and sight.
