Princess Mary Tin Christmas Fund Gift Tin 1914

Princess Mary created an appeal to the public to raise funds to create these tins with gifts to all allied troops on the front line.
This particular tin is in fair uncleaned condition a couple of small dents. Some troops carried these on the front line after issue. Internally it retains the nice brass laquer finish.
This includes the following two medals:
British War Medal 1914-20
Victory Medal. These are in mint condition as issued in original envelopes and postage box with addressed paper. The Silver war medal has a lovely blue patina toning with crisp sheen to the original ribbons. These medals have never been worn and kept almost sealed for over a hundred years.
Both medals named to:
A-201799 Pte. G.A. Davis. K.R. Rif.C.
Label addressed as: Mr. G A Davis, 83 Chatham Road, Wandworth London.
Kings Royal Rifle Corps is the regiment GA Davis served.
