Lusitania Medallion

These iron medallions were issued by the British in a counter propaganda exercise roughly copying the German WWI issued medallion to celebrate the sinking of the Lusitania.
This example is complete however the medallion has rust spots. With is original box with detached lid. The leaflet describing the sinking and the German propaganda is included.
The proceeds of the sale at one shilling went to St. Dunstans Blinded Soldier and Sailor Hostel
